After making the offer, the researchers watched and recorded the way the couples interacted with one another before making their decision. there have been participants whose spouses kept encouraging them to settle on the choice to compete for a prize, while there have been also those whose spouses were unconfident or maybe discouraging.

Moreover, researchers checked in on an equivalent couples 6 months later and located out that those that accepted the challenge to compete for a prize, experienced more personal growth and claimed to possess more happiness and well-being than those that refused.
